Benign breast conditions, breast cancer, and what your diagnosis means

About Me
So many women carry a quiet fear when it comes to breast health - often a fear of the worst. I believe knowledge is power. With clarity, we can quiet the uncertainties that lie within our control. I built this space to help you navigate breast health with confidence, not fear.
I am a specialist in General Surgery, focusing on the management of both benign and malignant breast conditions. My clinical practice addresses both the clinical and emotional aspects of breast disease, and includes mastectomy, oncoplastic breast surgery, axillary surgery, and laparoscopic/endoscopic procedures.
I graduated from The University of Hong Kong in 2010 and completed my higher surgical specialty training and subspecialty accreditation in breast surgery across several public hospitals, including Queen Mary Hospital and Ruttonjee Hospital. As an Associate Consultant in the Breast Surgery team at Queen Mary Hospital, my clinical research focused on autologous fat grafting techniques for reconstruction following breast-conserving surgery. I collaborate with oncology colleagues to plan care for patients, particularly those undergoing neoadjuvant chemotherapy. I currently teach as an Honorary Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery at HKU.
Beyond the clinic and my teaching commitments, I'm a keen outdoor enthusiast. In my personal time, I enjoy ocean swimming, kayaking, and hiking in the mountains. I'm fluent in Cantonese, English, and Mandarin, and can converse in basic French and German.
No matter what feelings you bring with you today, you are welcome here. Let's make breast health feel a little less frightening - together.
